The atmosphere at home these days

This years Saudi game in those first 30 mins was absolutely incredible. Ive been to them all and that was right up there. The performance meant it tailed off badly.

So have I and that was nowhere near the noise levels in derbies of years gone by. First few minutes was good (nowhere near the very first mag game at the SoL though) until reality set in that we weren't going to lay a glove on them and it went quiet after that and never really got going again.
Stoke at home is going to be absolutely turgid isn’t it? I can see them getting 3 points and probably to rub it in, Gayle scores again and does his stupid mag celebration.

It'll be interesting if we go a goal down. It's been said loads of times before that if this or that happens the place will turn toxic and yet it never really happens as apathy takes over and fans just drift away instead but now people are really pissed off with all aspects of the club so who knows?

What I haven't liked the past few home games is fans losing it with each other. Seen 2 fights in the last 3 home games. We aren't the enemy here and I hope this doesn't become a recurring theme.

Stoke used to be famed for their atmosphere and an Ipswich fan the other week called it the worst home atmosphere they’d ever seen.

Forest atmosphere gets a good name but that’s a new thing to me. Never known them famed for it.

Leeds get a lot of praise for their atmosphere and yet today, there have periods of deafening silence in the first half, punctuated only by chants of ‘football in a library’, ‘where’s your famous atmosphere’, ‘we forgot that you were here’, and ‘shall we sing a song for you’ from the Preston fans. I recall Elland Road half full in the mid noughties with nowt to write home about in terms of atmosphere.

In summary, things wax and wane over time, and we aren’t alone.
Our best atmospheres are when we get stuck in and put pressure on the other team. The atmosphere then builds and the roar comes. We dont do that under Beale his football is shocking. Even in the derby match we were totally passive.
This. It doesn’t take a lot at SAFC. Get on the front foot, play with a bit of tempo, crunch into tackles, hem teams in and don’t let them out their defensive third.

There was a fight in the BCB on Friday night. Blows exchanged, seats and ale scattered. Was the best entertainment of the evening tbh.

I absolutely hate that 'chant' 😂

This . . . I honestly thought we had the plates to take the game to them. We do have the players - we wasted the chance.

I’m blown away there’s people actively defending the atmosphere at the SOL like. It’s the worst it’s ever been apart from a game here and there. There was thousands who fucked off early when we were 5-0 up v Southampton and missed our most promising academy graduate in years nod home his first senior goal

I can remember Arsenal at home in the FA Cup 2012 was only about 25,000 there and the atmosphere was class. Think we won 2-0 or 2-1

5th round of the FA Cup. Saturday tea time. Place was absolutely jumping!
Everton away the atmosphere was really good as well. Bardo’s rocket! Then the replay a full house at the SoL and we crumbled 🙃 back in the days the SoL was a hard place to come to
