I'm from CLS myself and started my career down the street on Fridays and Sundays in the early 1990s. It's shit now. I am trying to imagine what it's going to be like when the cricket crowd flow into the pubs after the test days. Bound to be some bother with the locals if past experience is anything to go by.

Wondering about jumping in a taxi to go to Newcastle or Sunderland instead. What are other people doing?

never any bother just great craic

Hope you're right. I've seen enough bother over 20 years down Chester Front Street to last a lifetime. Be a shame if there's trouble. The atmosphere in Nottingham after an Ashes Test at Trent Bridge is always superb. The Ozzies are good craic.

Never seen any grief in Chester after an international event, been going since the first one against Zimbabwe. Always a good atmosphere

Never any bother marra. After the game and also before it people drink in CLS CC which of course is just up the road from the ground. Normally jam packed, I thiunk they put breakfasts on. The Barmy Army go in to drink as well as they are well known to the cricket club.

Lots of drinking also at Hollathans next to O'Brien's newsagents.

CLS CC are having a few special events on this year as its the clubs 125th anniversary.
