I wasn't sure if this thread was going to be about the patent case or about the fact that Apple pay [just about] no tax in the UK.

It was always going to happen as other manufacturers caught up and it became difficult to incorporate new features.
 
Shareholders are going to want soem of that cash pile at some point.

They are happy while the shareprice continues to go up but once that plateau's they'll be looking for dividends instead..

Apple should do a huge share buy back at some point. I imagine they'll do something.

a crest of a wave only lasts so long before it hits the beach

I thought they'd already agree to pay out some divi's when Cook took the helm?

Personally, as much as I like Apple, they've lost a little directly since Jobs died.

i sort of made it up.. canny .. thats will be £420 consultation fee

i'll amend it slightly so you get your moneys worth

i think they did pay a div but up until now apple shareholders have been compensated handsomely by the rising share price so it has kept the wolves from the door. if growth stops then the owners will want to see some returns.
