Online played less than 10 minutes and in 1 game during Afcon.

I was referring more to players that came into the team and ended up being important over the rest of the season.

I also think it helped us get a few who would probably have had better options but we took the gamble on them so they appreciated it and joined

Yes and then there is also the fact that it's the last mid (European) season AfCon. So its not something that will affect their selling value or a future season.
It's also something that other clubs won't be able to copy from.

i also think the african players bring a different type of energy.
you can see if on the videos in the dressing room with all the music and singing.
They're also very family orientated which helps new lads settle
Plus the Francophone element too - which Xhaka is fluent in

Might sound daft . But we were flying just before African cup of nations. And if we hadn't have lost players could have finished even higher in league. But still fantastic season. With added bonus mags are complete shambles...

The only real slip we had was when Xhaka was injured.

which is why his back up is a huge priority this window.

Not an issue now thankfully end if the season also after 2028 its failing in line with out major tournaments and only every 4 days.
