The figures are the past. What matters is the future. The two questions that matter are 1) Is the club debt free and/or safe 2) How do we plan to make safe progress in the future. All the rest is scenery - it can be discussed and analysed but it is all water under the bridge.

he wasnt responsifng specifcially to the £10m with that though was he?

He's right, to an extent. The accounts are history by the time they're published, but they can still be useful as a tool to help see trends of where there are problems that need to be dealt with.
