Think he's changed his tune. Saw him on some prediction thing with Connor McGilligan towards the start of the season and he wasn't talking favourably...even after we'd won the first game.
 
A fantastic summary of our season rolled into 3 minutes . Pure Class.

Made an arse of "the so called experts" , particularly Shearer.

He seems alright to me. Bit stupid doing a tier thing as he surely can’t watch us enough to judge stuff like that. But him, McGilligan, Matt the Cov fan and the Ipswich fan with long hair all seem decent to me.
Plus I thought we’d get relegated at the start of the season too! Just hoped we’d scrape 17th 🤣

That Callum lad has had some decent commentary on us this season and last TBF.

Yeah you're right. The three lads that you mention that do the panel show thing are good and v balanced.

Yeah I did anarl.

I'd also say that the three coming up now will go back down. It's just easy to revert to type.

Same reason we're getting told we will find it tough next season with Europe as people have before.

That Simon Jordan clip must be a canny few years old. Although now whenever they mention Sunderland to him on talksport he just references Sheffield United when they finished 9th a while back and says “let’s see how they get on next season.”
Also he loves the mags and defends them of anything they have ever done.

He was quite critical of Stavely and the attempted takeover iirc, then one day, as if by magic, he and his colleagues all suddenly thought it was a wonderful idea and he hasn’t said a bad word about the skunks since.

Makes a mockery of his whole ‘courage of your convictions’ shtick.
 
Quite a few on here writing off the recently promoted c’ship sides already based on little other than what the pundits use
Nice to have outwitted and proven wrong the bookies, the Jordan's, etc but given what happened the season before we got promoted (and prior seasons ) their conclusions were nothing outlandish or unreasonable
Plus the more the vitriolic the reactions the more clicks etc
