Thank you Dan Neil

He had a decent game. Their striker Hirst is dog shit and the young lad Egeli playing in front of Neil was also very poor. The main noticeable thing with Neil though is that he's slow to move the ball on. He just wouldn't cut it in our team now and I've always been a fan of his.

He looked like a player that’s had next to no competitive football for over six months.

He was calm and composed but imo playing well within his capability as he knows he’s nowhere near match sharp yet.

He’ll improve with minutes. In retrospect, for the good of his career he should have moved on last summer.

He got pelters off a lot of our fans last year and he was more than good enough though. I had hoped that he might be able to make the step up with us, but wasn't to be. He might still get a crack at the PL with a team like Ipswich, who knows. But the players we have brought in to replace him are definitely all better players.

Blindingly obvious imo. However the deluded denial of some on the limitations of last seasons squad is flawed, imo when it comes to team recruitment. I never thought Dan Neil could play any meaningful part at a higher level and no other club it appears do either, at this time it seems.

I now think the same about Rigg. Tme will tell who is right about Rigg. Even if i was proved wrong in the future i would not care a jot because as of today they are not good enough. The evidence thst they sre not good enough is proved right by Dan Neil's leaving on loan for a Championship club and Rigg sitting on the bench.

Do fans think Henderson and Pickford were in floods of tears when they left???? It's a juvenile, childish outlook in my opinion to idolize players or managers. Football is a tough brutal industry.

Player recruitment in modern football is global and has no interest in your colour or your place of birth neither should it. Football is driven by results not built on a deluded sense of loyalty or sentiment about sub standard players local born or otherwise who have reached the peak of their ability and can not progress any further.

Of course there is a place in all settings for sentimemt and decency but that does not extend to deluded player loyalty. when it comes to selection Loyalty to players should not be at the expense of developing the team. Winniing should mever be at all cost nor should fans ignore the morals and integrity of our owners unlike some clubs not a million miles away.

Players should be applauded for their contributiom and effort in getting us promoted and wished well in their future at other clubs.

Thank goodness our owners are pragmatists not fanatical sentimentalists when it came to player recruitment in the summer past.Thst is not indecent

Someone’s pissed.

I like Dan and wish him all the best, but he really needs to start taking the game by the scruff of the neck if he’s going to be amount to anything other than an average championship midfielder

Where are these fanatical sentimentalists you speak of? Not seen one poster suggesting our promotion team should be given a chance, everyone accepted we needed better
