Thank you Dan Neil

Thought he was excellent me, times he was one of the best midfielders in the Championship. Sadly some on here decided to hammer him.

Prem wasn’t even a step too far, we just signed lads who were better, and therefore didn’t need to give him the terms he wanted.

No one’s fault this. Best of luck Dan. Thanks for what you did.

I genuinely hope the lad kicks on and proves himself a premiership player

And if he doesn’t, then he’s still bloody brilliant anyway and you’ll also never take away a double promotion and captaining own club to a Wembley win

Good luck Dan

Good luck Dan, gutted he didn’t even get a chance, as he’s proved himself time and again.
Was made to play in a number 6 role which isn’t his best position in my opinion but he cracked on.
Lads who sit behind me were a nightmare and gave him shit every week.
Honestly think he’s got it but like Rigg needs to realise important it is they step up.

Yeah agree.....such a shame that he wasnt given an opportunity at this level to show what he could do at Premiership level .....but totally understand why.
Wishing him nothing but success

Will go down as a Sunderland legend. Shields boy who picked us up by our bootstraps when we lay dying in the trenches of League 1, took us through two divisions, captained us back to the Prem. People like me dad thought they’d never live to see it, and for that I’ll be forever grateful.

Dont know if this has been mentioned but has anyone seen any comment from any of the lads who joined in the summer? Expected acknowledgement from Xhaka at least.
