Yeah decision to go for Moeen over him was a very poor one in the 2023 Ashes. Even if Moeen ended up having to go 3 cos of Pope

Leach will go then it’ll be Bashir or this lad is my amateur prediction.
 

Potts is the new Leach top drinks carrier they only pick as unlike most of the bowlers you can rely on him being fit.

It’s looks a very limited attack they have said Stokes is fully fit but said that before and been limping all over the field.

It’s against a very poor side so does not clue you in much to the 10 tests v to 2 excellent sides after.

I don’t mind them giving Cook a go but he’s not great in the field and terrible with the bat.

I agree but mainly as I’m extremely bitter about the IPL

My own view is that England players aren’t actually that bothered by it, stokes, Brook n root etc get paid a fortune

So fact he is there rather than in England annoys me and I wouldn’t pick him.

The world has changed though and people come straight from Francise stuff and score100s on day one. So I’m probs wrong

Gerrin. Hopefully Farhan makes an impression. Very skilful offie every time I've seen him bowl. Attacking but economical. Plus he can hold a bat. I know, he's only turned 17 but I can see a bright future for the lad.

I get why they're persisting with Bashir, but I'd be picking this lad if they're thinking about the future.

Not sure why Bethell even went to the IPL (other than £ of course). He’d have been much better having a break after a busy winter and maybe playing a few CC games for Warwickshire before the English Test summer.

He’s 21. He’s got loads of time to do franchise stuff. It seems even more bizarre given he’s done nowt but carry drinks.

Cricket fans have weird views on England like
England 2nd in test rankings which takes in results from 2022. Which is spot on for how theyve played.

Literally just won away in Nz. Where we never win too!

Yeah, clouds should burn off. I'm a bat first in most instances but I would let them bowl first today as well. 1st test of the summer in May? Should nibble around a bit.

Only seen bits and pieces of Cook, interesting to see if he's as good as some in the media are making out.
