TEST SERIES :: South Africa v Sri Lanka

Starts Wednesday morning, 07:30 at Durban.

David Bedingham in the squad for SA. Really looking forward to seeing him bat and also to Rabada bowling - genuinely believe he’s one of the best bowlers in the world presently.
Yeah absolutely top class is KG. His SR is second to none.

If he'd played for England he'd probably not be far off 500 wickets.

Since the summer Sri Lanka have really played well

I think they have a decent chance in this series. The saffers seem to prioritise t20 these days

'Never met a nice Saf Afrikaan!'

Yes I know he's 4th. But the longevity of keeping that strike rate up is what I meant about second to none.

All the others apart from Steyn in the top 10 haven't kept that up for as long as he has.

Granted Lohmann and Barnes are in the annuls of history of best ever bowlers nobody alive saw!
The only bowlers from recent memory that have strike rates similar to Rabada's is Steyn and Waqar Younis. Not bad company that.

Sri Lanka have made a decent start with the ball, they have SA 50/3.

Bedingham has just came into bat for those of us who are wfh today.

EDIT.... don't bother turning on, he's out for 4
Beauty that mind

Just a hint of green on the pitch

Said earlier this Sri Lanka team is on a steep upward curve

Their seam attack looks very good, they bowled beautifully this morning on a helpful surface and I actually think SA will be fairly content at 80-4. It was an important toss to win and in some ways the rain will have been a welcome sight to the hosts. Forecast for the next couple of days is much better for batting.

Can’t wait to see Rabada bowling on that pitch.

Looks like Mulder needs Scully.. guess the truth is out there ;)

Nice to hear George Lohmann get a mention

Coetzer hoyed that away, spinner bowling well considering the lack of turn ;). The struggling test sides are looking good these days.

117-7 ( effectively 8)
