We get an English ranking, basically your countries ranking divided by 5, so is Bournemouth and Palace will all have the same ranking (Palace is below the country average) then it goes to domestic league position, looks like pot 3 for us.

So how does that work? Will we get drawn at home first? Will we be in Group A?

How does the mechanics of the draw and the competition itself work?

I know what you mean, but Hearts away is a preseason friendly to prepare us for the Championship, not a European away day. I’d rather have Banja Luka from that pot for a bit of Balkan craziness.

Projected pot 3, but based on the teams likely to be in 3 and 4 I'd fancy us against all of them, as well as some from pot 2. And depending on recruitment no reason why we can't give the pot 1 teams a good game too.

Totally get that. Just would have at least 3 more and I’m hoping for the knock outs as well

Play 2 teams from each pot but we can't play any English teams, 4 games at home and 4 games away, exactly the same as CL. Top 8 go through automatically to the last 16, places 9-24 playoff against each other and the 8 winners of those go into the last 16

For me I think it’s just a thought of: „let’s enjoy it like it’s our last“, so I want us to end up in the most obscure places possible (and Milan of course ;))

Lots of people would struggle to do all four. Hearts would be class in that you could do it without taking annual leave.

Only 800 tickets would be the issue.

I‘m just a bit selfish to be honest as I’m living in Germany and just want to have a drive or a train ride somewhere. Won’t even need to be in the stadium, just wanted to be drinking in some piazza with a bunch of fellow MLFs!

So we could face Fenerbache (P1), Olympiakos (P2), Lask (P3) and Sint Truiden (P4) home and away. So long as we finish in the top 8 in our group we should go through to the last 16. I understand the rest. It's sort of like the World Cup.

- 16 points (17gtd) got top 8
- 13 pts top 16
- 9 pts (10gtd) for top 24

Me and my lads are planning to go to 1st away game regardless if we have tickets or not - I usually cant remember the games I attend anyway tbh
