Team for Forest

Putting Isidor in ffs, the best thing about yesterday was him reminding potential suitors of his availability. Great guy, but needs to go. We are not a basketball style team, which is what he needs, a 4-3 game is an outlier.

Assuming Alderete is out, if he’s fine then Hume comes out and Michele shifts to RB. Vital we get ELF central for me, he looks much more dangerous there lately.

I also think we’re more solid defensively with him through the middle and Talbi wide.

I know you went yesterday so total respect to you and your opinion. For me , Diarra must start 100%. His form is on an upwards trajectory . Those runs he makes even at 93mins, are what opens teams up. Remember he was heavily involved in the Rigg goal . He must play for me.

Aye it’s all about opinions. I’m far too reactionary when it comes to football, I’m aware of it but it’s just who I am😂 In the England cricket threads on here I’m actually one of the more positive and level headed posters, it’s just footy that gets to me.

Diarra clearly has talent, RLB wouldnt be picking him if he didn’t. I have reservations over his mentality/attitude (don’t think either of those are the right word, but can’t think of the correct one). Lying down whilst Brighton scored, arguing with fans at PV just rub me up the wrong way. That’s not why I’ve not put him in my team in the OP though, it’s purely down to wanting to see ELF centrally and I don’t know how we accommodate both.

RLB has forgotten more about footy than I’ll ever know though, so he’ll do what’s right. Diarra will probably score a hat trick on Friday.
 
Ballard in for O’Nien the only change imo.

If Alderete is injured, then Hume & Ballard come in for Alderete & O’Nien. Mukiele moves into CB with Hume RB. Hopefully Alderete is fit though as I think we need his aggressiveness against Forest.

We need Ballard to start to compete against Wood in the air.

Diarra’s energy in midfield could be crucial in this game, because Forest seem to have a lot of that in their CM too - Gibbs-White will be full of confidence after his hat-trick & the ex Newcastle players in their team will be wanting to stick it to us.

Tough game Friday but it’s a must win if we have any Europa league aspirations imo.

I like this team. I think Talbi is class me. Always play well when he is on. Works so hard and has a knack of scoring important goals. I think he's improved so much since pre-season with even more to come.

As long as O'Nien is not starting Watkins took him to the cleaners yesterday. He's been a great servant to the club but this league the players are to strong and sharp for him sadly.

Could of given away 2 pens the error in the build up to the Mags first. If Alderete is out would rather move Nordi inside and play Hume at right back.

Reinildo was miles off yesterday mind slow and gave it away for fun. Do he could opt to play Hume at LB and Gerty RB as he linked up very well with Rigg in the 2-1 v the scum.
