Takeover Rumours

Nor do the new owners, next thing you'll be saying is you don't want Dell & co to take over.

If you think Donald and Methven are going to be given free reign to spend money however they want, you're completely mad.

Dof for football side and Donald for off the field stuff and jobs a goodun.

Mind, that being said it could be argued the rwson the on the field stuff has been so poor is because the matter of priority was to get the club sold, and that Donald may well do better given more resources and focus. Not sure his performance at Eastleigh would substantiate that although admittedly I don't know too much about his time there in detail.

Just had a look at what a potential stadium sponsporship/naming rights deal could bring... even the NFL the most seems to be around 14 million a season. Would be pretty impossible to get away with a 500 million sponsorship as it would surely be seen as market over valuation? These are very clever individuals and Im sure knowing us, we'd be the ones heavily fined for doing things 'by the book' only to be deemed inappropriate at a later date and be retrospectively punished. Ever the pessimist!!!

They know absolutely nothing about running a behemoth of a football club. It is easy to cut costs, what is hard is spending money wisely, something which this ‘team’ have failed to do.

It is a hoodwink, next thing you will be telling me austerity is a good thing.
They know more about running a football club than anyone on here, which is why they are running it and running it well

They are selling a huge asset, the people are purchasing the club, and as you can see from their portfolio and the fact they are billionaires, are not daft.

Okay, but again I'll drive you back to the fact that they've managed to attract some of the richest people in football.

The fact they know them or have contacts that do is conclusive proof they are not 'non-league'. Don't let that get in the way of your agenda though.

Ok.

I know you don’t ever consider an alternative opinion.
They have sorted the firefighting and now have 4 billionaires (with one being the 20th richest man on the planet) about to invest significantly into the Club.

Honestly what planet are you on? Certainly not a sensible or rational one!
The media outlets are basically saying what he was saying pre ban, I honestly think they are just hoovering up the legitimate info he has posted on here, he was in touch and said as much, tbh I have stopped really checking this thread religiously when he was booted, as long as it happens!
the media have definitely followed Reiver on here.

Non League but they’ve managed to get some of the richest blokes in football on board
Funny as fuck when posters give their insight on finances, having previously condemned another who is doing the job.....and a good one at that.
Some can't even get their own households in order. 😕

I don’t have an agenda. I believe they got this football club for a song and yes, have done some work around cutting costs. I have never been a fan of them, from getting supporters in to replace the seats to the twitter presence, the denigration of agents via the podcasts, the undermining of the manager with the 100 point malarkey, the different accounts of the money that was used to purchase the club, the direct criticism of our fans following defeat at Wembley when we had 3-4K unsold tickets, the complete and utter mishandling of the Josh Maja situation and so on. That isn’t an agenda, that is just my take from their time at the club. I accept other people see things differently and if having them here means that we move on with what look to be serious investors, then fair enough. What I have never been able to accept is the complete disregard on this board for an alternative view to their presence.

It should also be noted that Donald has carried out many differing aspects of genuine human kindness during his time here and the people he has affected during that will be forever grateful. I completely understand and respect that.

None of it is saying he is a bad man, he isn’t. But at the same time, I don’t want him running this place.

How can you have a alternative opinion on running a club. Have you ran a club before? He obviously knows how to run a club as he’s turned the club around and is now attracting big investors because the club is being run well, it’s not rocket science
Jesus, in the world if the blind, the one eyed man is king.

Fair enough mate. I still don't think anything you've mentioned is accurately described as 'Non-league', but I can appreciate that point of view.
