Takeover Rumours

There is absolutely not a chance in hell that there is a media embargo on this. Genuinely that is nonsense. The fact of the matter is we are in league one with a deal probably a week or more away and as interesting as it is for us to speculate how close it is on a day to day basis, the rest of the country couldn't give a shite and that's why it's not being reported. Even when it does go through, it will fill a small column space three pages from the back. Media embargo has been wildly imagined from the head of Riv.
I’m 100% certain there is.

For the decent people on here, this is the latest message I've received, last night, below in bold.

For the rest.

Please tell me how I could've invented a story, two weeks back, that an art dealer who supplies his friend Glenn Fuhrman had shown me a WhatsApp message, at his home, confirming he'd bought the club.
I posted that information, as fact, on the board. I also posted that the owners would be arriving for the 'Burton game' which subsequently happened. I said Donald would be flying up to meet them which was subsequently confirmed. Shouting 'liar' might carry some weight if any of you had proved me wrong or posted the slightest piece of contradictory evidence. But, in reality, you have nothing but feet stamping and toy throwing. It's obvious that some of you, for whatever sick reasons, are desperate for this takeover to fail. Either that or you get your kicks out of posting infantile drivel on a chat for. I won't be interrogated on here by a small bunch of bitter losers ... If anyone wants to call me a liar to my face I'm at your disposal.

“Things still going really well and hopefully an announcement next week but common sense tells you that both sides have been instructed by the lawyers to keep their mouths shut until it’s made official via an official media conference as the current silence from SAFC’s hierarchy is absolutely deafening.
Although Jack Ross refered to having talked to some of the new owners in his pre Accrington media conference today, it generally seems as if the whole club is in lockdown although they’re going to have to come above ground for Accrington on Saturday. It will be interesting to see how many media bods raise the takeover question in the lead up to the game and in the post match media conference with management and players, because it will be beyond belief if the subject does not get raised and would suggest that there is some sort of media embargo in place forbidding questions on the subject. It’s happening, it’s close”.
thanks for that, much appreciated.

He’s spent about 5 million quid man. Plus inheriting a team more than capable of getting out of that league. There’s been no improvement in the quality of football played, in fact I’d say over the last 13-14 months it’s got progressively worse. The same mistakes the team and himself were making this time last year are still present. Regardless of the funds or squad he had available a decent manager should be capable to addressing these problems, he’s clearly not.
I'd suggest it's a myth that JR inherited a squad as good as you feel. It was absolutely, and I use the word advisedly, rotten. We now have an average league 1 team/squad. Anyone who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. Ask yourself how many of our current squad would make the transition to the championship. 3 or 4 I reckon.

Why? I've seen countless media outlets report there is a takeover including sky and the bbc. The local rags churn up shite on it on a daily basis. Following that what is there to report... there is a takeover occurring at sunderland involving these men, heres what we know. They've done that. Theres nothing to report now until it's done. Are you expecting Sky to have Jim White on doing a takeover countdown or the worlds media in the carpark. As exciting as it is for us, there's just simply not much to write about until it's done.

Has he?

I think what money we've spent is more down to the decisions made by Coton, Hill and ultimately Donald rather than Jack Ross.

I know we have to go back to something like page 1299, 15 hours and several hundred posts to look at one talking about me and my "dyspraxia" developmental disorder (it isn't a difficulty. That I think is the non-PC name now. Because I certainly haven't had any difficulty achieving certain life tasks like flying, getting a job and learning to drive. Although I have had to go about them in a different way and with less ease than most which is why I see them as more a set of 'barriers'), and how you all ought to treat me and these posts have largely been forgotten under all following posts. But I feel I need to reply with a rare one. Till I do reply this topic in the thread cannot be tied off.

In this case I don't feel we are talking about my "dyspraxia". I do feel we are perhaps talking about a personal weakness. The bet thing I think is more to do with the fact I perhaps am easily coerced. Easily influenced. Easily led. I am all to aware of the symptoms of Dyspraxia and this does not tally with any of those.

The feeling this deal may not be done may simply be the fact I am a very pessimistic person. I don't think that there is anything wrong with it. We all react differently to scenarios. When it comes to situations where things are not going well it just happened that I did not fall into the category of a person who is optimistic. No matter how bad the situation is or how long the situation hasn't been going well, such people still think something good will happen to turn it all around. I am not like that.

Agree with what you say, but unless Ross comes out and says otherwise, he is ultimately responsible for signing these players and therefore for the lack of quality in the sqaud - he has shown a total lack of knowledge of players outside of Scotland and his default is still to look in their pub league for players rather than in League 2

Well at least the "dyspraxia" saved you a grand, and are we to assume that from now on anything you do or say is with total impunity?
