Only just taken off from Windsor Locks. Still got to land and refuel at White Plains, then wait for Glen, John, Rob, Michael, Stewart and Charlie to show up and get on board. Obviously all booked in at The Hilton tonight unless they didn't book in advance, in which case it'll be a B&B on Roker seafront.

The deal is done. All set to be announced tomorrow.

FYI ... I didn't start this bollocks about a plane flying to Newcastle. Only caught my interest as there was no plane over Newfoundland at the time someone mentioned. And the plane they referred to, which is Newcastle bound, was on its way to a small airport on the edges of New York before its departure direct to NCL. Probably has nothing to do with Sunderland's impeding deal with MSD Partners. Still, it's no less interesting than half of the other posts on this thread.

Yeah, there's a quote from one of the guys on twitter;

"We planned on taking control of Sunderland football club with the intention to bring the good times back to the fans. On closer inspection and after reviewing the clubs post-war history, we have concluded that there are no good times to bring back."
OK, bantz

Must be true that. It's got capital letters, quotation marks, a comma and two full stops.

What do you think? Read my last post again. If you read it through and understood it, which I doubt, you will have read the sentence "I want something good to happen to us". If there is anything about that sentence that you don't quite follow please feel free to ask any question you may have.

I have waited and waited and craved for something good to happen so much at times it has ached. It has felt like I have wanted something good (properly good - not like the three Wembley finals where they all ended up in a loss) to happen more than anything in my own life. If you ask me to choose between us getting promotion and flying to some fancy holiday destination like France or Spain or own a really nice car I would have had a genuinely tough time deciding. I would probably go for one season of promotion over an Aston Martin Vanquish for life so if one didn't work or I crashed it I would just have a new one. THAT is how much I want us to do well. So don't ever question my desire to want the club to have some success.
Why can't you wait until the outcome then. Personally I think Reiver has given us information in good faith and has passed on what he feels he can. Of course the info he is getting could be bullshit but the fact that 2 of the 4 were at the Wimbledon game and the some other people there last Saturday I tend to believe/hope that what he is saying is true. If you choose not to believe then that's fine but I don't understand your negativity about all this.
