If there is paperwork being reviewed and EFL approval being awaited - then there must surely be a deal that's been agreed prior to that and put to the relevant parties.

If there is a problem flagged with one or more of the proposed investors for whatever reason then it may change the makeup of the takeover group temporarily/permanently even though it might not scupper the deal. I'm sure there are other reasons too but holding back any announcements is entirely understandable.

Edit - Tbf he doesn’t say paperwork, he says they are looking at every aspect of the club. They aren’t just taking over grannies savings account

Today mate and Tbf it might mean nowt. He’s likely to know nothing.:)

He was asked about imminent announcement and he said not sure where you’ve heard that, EFL approval still required. He also mentioned that they are looking at every aspect of club

Everyone knows there will be elements of our support who will twist like fuck even IF this goes through. Predicted comments post takeover until say 5 years time:

All of this counts for nothing unless we go up this season.

Now we are in the Championship let's see if these lot will invest further in the club. Not getting excited until I see progress on the pitch.

Well we might be third in the league but I don't see top 2 happening.

We fluked promotion to the Premier League, let's be honest. Now we are here are we aiming for 17th again like under previous billionaire owner Short?

We only got 12th in our first season back at the top because the owners made those couple of key signings in January.

Well battling Everton for 7th place is all well and good, but we have sold our soul? I wish for the days of being beaten by PeterfuckingBorough 0-3.

think i'm more inclined to believe RR than Nick Barnes although neither of them are 100% sure like the rest of us

Mentions it here in a different tweet that is still in the same original tweet question from David somewhere. It's daft how twitter works as depending on which tweet you look at you only see certain replies as it hides replies within someone else's reply! Can I fuck get a tweet that shows all 3 by Barnes from the original question tweet.
