Not really. It doesn't affect the acquisition, just the immediate post-acquisition actions they want completed before announcing. They don't want to be in the position of drip feeding stuff, but get everything announced at once.

We've had little but adverse publicity for years.

This has to look professional and have a clear forward looking plan.

This won't be their first rodeo regarding purchasing of businesses/subsidiaries and such. I can't imagine it taking them too long just to prepare an announcement? Or am I being naive?
