Takeover Rumours

When the takeover happens I reckon we should keep the thread going
I don't know what your motives are but, for you, and the other people who keep trotting out this shite and further complicating the situation ...

... here's something to chew on.

I was invited to Oakhurst Hall, Berkshire, on September 1st to meet with ...
... to discuss a work project. An absolutely lovely man and obviously successful.
He's a personal friend of Fuhrman and Phelan, two of these 'figments' of our imagination according to you.

I'd spoken to him the week before when he'd commented on his friend mentioning that he was the new owner of Sunderland. I was naturally surprised but this was during the first rumours so knew it was possible. When I was at Oakhurst Hall he showed me a series of WhatsApp messages between him and Fuhrman where he congratulates him on the purchase and Fuhrman thanks him.

I didn't feel I could commit to his work proposal but have now had second thoughts and contacted him yesterday to ask if we could have another meeting. It's possible I'd end up one step from Glenn Fuhrman who visits Ben when he's in the UK. He's already told him he'll be going to our games whenever possible. Now I don't normally post my personal affairs on here, as it's not some Facebook site imo, but I just wanted to reassure decent people all, like me, waiting impatiently for the announcement which I'm now told could be Wednesday.

You have no evidence for your theory so why not go away and find some, just a thought.
but hopefully today marra, in the next 5 mins would be better lol

But even if he attends the press conference, why could he not be relieved of his services the following day? Not that I think this will be the case mind.
A hardly think that 4 professional billionaires will let ross do a pre match presser then sack him 24 hours later just before a game

I'm guessing but I don't recall seeing managers present at 'takeover events' but could be wrong.

Anyway @Grumpy Old Man might be able to clarify something.

'At which point does the manager become the employee of new owners'.

(Edit: f***ing spellcheck corrected employee to employer, just as well I spotted it!)

Heh, heh.

If we were struggling in prem then new owners would come in and sack manager and give the new "big name" a winter war chest.

We have FFP so no war chest and we are in division 1.

Which "big name" will come here at this moment in time.

Enjoy the ride and wet ya pants over these big money men coming in and stop bleating on about Ross would be my advice....but it's only advice and what I'm gonna do.

I'm not talking about the actual takeover presser I'm on about the pre accrington presser, that's what I mean when surely this would need to be announced by Wednesday if that was the case

I think a couple of us have gone lame

I used to see them put out into the fields with gauze on their eyes at first to protect them.

They'd just stand there barely moving as if they were traumatised.

Then, when the gauze was removed, they'd explode into life running around crazily, barging into each other and jumping in the air ...

... a scene shortly to be repeated in pubs all over Wearside

Covered under TUPE laws as these protect employees under a takeover

IMreasonablywellinformedopinionO this would've been announced already if the staffing situation was clear.

Nothing has changed between last Monday and this Monday.

I was told, point blank, to 'give up' on last Wednesday and then Friday because it couldn't happen before this midweek.

To my mind that means it could've been announced but they're trying to get all their ducks in a row and present their most complete situation possible.

Just sounds like the buyer is clarity on every internal situation and probably taking legal counsel on UK laws as well.

It’ll happen. If they shake today, Wednesday announcement is reasonable. Internals announcements and press invites tomorrow etc.

It’ll leak earlier IMO.
