of course they will and not too far off. The rest can be implemented in a much more calculated manner starting with the scouting network ,what little there is of it, and then placing capable people into the club to see what needs doing first in order of proiority.. (They will have done that already i would expect) and then implementing the changes, that can be done over the course of the rest of this season . after that, its where they really want to go and if there is any further investment around the city.

Will hopefully all add up to a compelling argument to attract a great new manager and great footballing strategy including scouting and acquiring new talent. Brian Marwood's name was being kicked around last week, got to think we need somebody like that on board to give oversight to the whole project.

As for Ross Ive see nothing from him to suggest he will ever be a success here.

Agreed, Ross aside. Regarding him, it's an opinion of mine based on little more than impression & intuition. But, as I've said to another poster, I'm usually wrang anyway.

Not being arsey, and for what it’s worth I agree with all that you’re saying, I couldn’t name an experienced manager worthwhile getting in (not to say there isn’t one just that I’m not aware of who) and I can’t truthfully offer a balanced argument against Phillips other than for me he has zero experience, you quite rightly pointed out the relative success of Lampard, Gerrard, Keane etc.
I can’t argue against your points so accepted them.

Can’t of been that pissed off.
He should have sacked him after the checkatrade final. If that would have happened we had a real chance of promotion.
Bottling two Wembley appearances is unforgivable.
