I had some holidays I had to take so haven’t missed work but can’t help but feel I could have used my time more productively than reading the endless comments on here. Not sure what I’m gonna do at work once this thread is over.
I might actually have to do something.
Yes!1000 yet?
See ya....Gannin out when this reaches 1000...
This in the very early 70's... My brother ,after one shoot came home with a gun case which he put under his bed and slept on . The next morning, he was off down to London to Purdy, I think in Bond street to have the pair of guns cleaned. He had to wait for them and then travel back.. Nice new Granada I recall.I wasn't aware of that but it wouldn't surprise me because he was absolutely brutal.
Once he'd decided anyone was surplus to requirements, no matter who were, they were gone.
I know he made his son Andrew start at the bottom. He was at Cambridge University but in the summer holidays he worked at Millfield.
I know it was at the bottom because I was asked to show him the ropes and if I'd been further down the pecking order, my desk would have been out on the pavement of Matamba Terrace.
