The new owners are not buying us for the team to languish in the lower leagues. Some carpet ride on its way for sure.

Poor old Sunderland winning the World Club Championship three years in a row.Little thought given to those of us who quite like Sunderland being poor and shit.

I hope we aren’t like the “Entataynaz” we might actually win something.Wish I was taking the piss. Mag just came into work (Alice Springs), wearing his Shearer testimonial gravy bib, chortling "tal nueva bee az class az tha entataynaz"
Didn't even have to prompt him. Blurted it out like a secret that's been eatuimg away at him for some time...
Send him over to Perth and I’ll tell him just how much this entertained me.Wish I was taking the piss. Mag just came into work (Alice Springs), wearing his Shearer testimonial gravy bib, chortling "tal nueva bee az class az tha entataynaz"

yes mate still live in Barrow
You're right, wish we were in Bury's shoes. Jammy bastards.Little thought given to those of us who quite like Sunderland being poor and shit.
City are set up for life, Liverpool will only be up there as long as Klopp sticks around - their owners don't spend enough unless it involves selling a top player to keep them up their unless they have one of the best managers around keeping them punching above their weight.
Its why im slightly sceptical of American ownership - Kroenke is a very wealthy bloke and married into the Walton Dynasty yet spends very little on players same as the Glazers and as I mentioned FSG at Liverpool.
Whether these guys do things differently who knows however as said FFP is a bastard in trying to compete with the plastic clubs already dining at the table.
Once again Sunderland will be the Bank of England Club. 51 years supporting the lads will i see us lifting the the Premiership Trophy before i pop me clogs?
Mind blowing , can't wait till it's announced tbhI remember as a kid in the 70's reading about us being called that and couldn't believe it!
Amazing to think we could be like that again...never believed it would happen in my lifetime! Never been so excited about SAFC!
but not necessarily in the right orderRemember, all of the right notes ....
We will let him be, he's one greasy steak bake away from losing his toesSend him over to Perth and I’ll tell him just how much this entertained me.

You've spent an absolute fortune despite ffp and wasted most of it tbf.City are set up for life, Liverpool will only be up there as long as Klopp sticks around - their owners don't spend enough unless it involves selling a top player to keep them up their unless they have one of the best managers around keeping them punching above their weight.

It's happening and we will have the second wealthiest owners in the world behind only PSG, let that fucker sink in!There is nothing at all wrong with dreaming of better times ahead. I think most of us have had enough reality checks over the years not to get too carried away by what sounds too good to be true. However I've got no doubt, judging by his posting history, that Reiver has genuine inside information posted to this board in good faith. Something big is happening of that I've no doubt We'll just have to be patient and hope the take-over happens. If not we should still be good enough to at least make the play-offs despite my misgivings about the manager's awful style of play.
