Source has told me the following...

I think between CM and SD , SD was starting to get cold feet as the deal was edging closer.

Supposedly had another higher offer on the table from another consortium but they couldnt necessarily provide any evidence that they could take the club forward which obviously Dell and the others have.

Interesting one though in terms of director of football....

Would be a coup as has a very good reputation in that role.

That's all I've heard likely not to hear anymore it was more of a chance thing.

I don't think it is embellishment to the degree you may think but rather he can't say everything on here for understandable reasons but he's still given snippets of info if he can and have a joke along the way. A lot of it has then come from speculation and sometimes the info gained can soon be out of date. I experienced it once working for a large company as I knew some shit before 99% of the rest of the company and well before the public but I couldn't say much though I sometimes hinted or joked about it and sometimes it didn't even happen.

You could be right. I think it's likely he had/has some inside info. Maybe I'm just being overly cynical.
