Just had a text from a mate who is a very reliable source. He tends to get things right as his Mrs (no) works canny high up in the club. He usually says not to post anything in case it all comes back to him/her, but he said I can post this. We're getting Rafael Benitez as our kitman. The club aren't sure how to announce it/whether to keep it on the low, which is why the deal is taking so long to be announced.

Fair dos mate. Always a bit wary of managers like this though, Nathan Jones, Paul Hurst and to a certain extent Nigel Clough. Some managers are just suited to a certain club.

Very true, loads have moved on thinking they’re better than they are and flopped. The best managers around who possibly would drop down for the right club, in my opinion, are the likes of Howe and Wilder. Wilder is managing his boyhood club so probably rules him out, but would be more than happy with Howe. Saying that, any new manager is a gamble.
