Takeover Rumours

Yes absolutely unless SD and Co falsified their proof of funds submission to the EFL when they purchased the club. Furthermore wasn’t it stated quite clearly by SD and Co when it looked nailed on that Mark Campbell was buying into the club that Jack Ross would remain as Manager? Contradicts this theory that the only reason Jack Ross is still in charge is because the owners can’t afford the compensation!

I think we could afford compensation, after all manager costs don't seem to be taken into account in SCMP (or whatever the league one equivalent of FFP is called). That being said its still a decent chunk of money that they'd probably rather spend on the side. Quite likely that they could afford to sack him but wanted to give him longer to show he was the right man rather than spending that money, especially if there was no stand out replacement. Last season ended very badly, but they'll have been giving him a while to see how results go this season imo

Be brilliant if it was Eddie Howe, has worked successfully in all divisions, highly respected, yet must realise that he’s gone as far as he can with Bournemouth. Perfect opportunity for him to start again and build a squad to get back in the Premiership and be able to seriously compete when we get there.

Would be the perfect man for us (and club for him), if he was prepared to take a gamble.
Who was also a failure at the only other club he's managed.

We need someone high profile to help us attract the players.

Ive no idea who, be great if its someone known around the world, probably pie in the sky when we are in League One, I dont want the waiter either, however it would be f***ing hilarious to watch the mag meltdown, saying that we would see even more of the twats at our games!

So someone like Chris wilder is going to give up his dream of managing his hometown club in the premier after just a handful of games to take charge of a league one club, regardless of money, which due to FFP wouldn't be able to spend much of it in league one anyway? Same goes for someone like Brendan Rodgers who will have ambitions of finishing in the top six. I'd be beyond shocked.
Someone like Houghton you could get.
Chris Wilder isn't going to go much further with Sheff Utd and they are limited as a club at the moment(unless they get a big money owner). He would maybe start on lower wages, increasing as we (should) climb up to the Premier League. So possibly in 2 seasons time he could be ob big money getting big money to sign class players at a club with huge growth potential and far better facilities to work with? For me, it's a no brainer as to what he would do if he was given the choice, regardless of being his hometown club and would set him up for life financially. He could then go back to Sheff Utd in his later years and chill if he fancied it.

I don't think he is the type to take a gamble....he done it once before and failed miserably.
