The main thing that bothers me is that Riever means bandit ,robber ,thief and villain and if a person using this user name is the epitome of perhaps his border ancestors he would be forever changing sides between the Scots and the English depending which way the wind is blowing.
It also appears to be a strange and misleading user name for anyone who claims to be a fund raiser working for the Salvation Army.
A strange contrary alter ego perhaps?☺😊

There's no way the takeover won't happen but there are just too many issues to address in a day. I've pushed to find out what the issues are but I'm not getting too much response. When I asked about a managerial change I got no response at all.

So it looks like a midweek announcement and the whole hysteria all over again ...

I’ve no inside knowledge whatsoever so just trying to read between the lines based upon what Reiver is posting. If the deal is done and the issue holding up the announcement is down to ‘staffing’ then it is likely someone senior within the management team. I’m going to speculate and say they’ve waited until an international break before announcing to try and alleviate any upheaval in the build up to a match but they’ve run into a couple of issues over severance. Reiver posted something about solicitors the other day and it wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what the delay is; finalising a severance, or a number of severance, payout(s)
 
Big 11am appointment at Rood Ashton near Bath tomorrow for me so I won't be on much.

Before I go I'll just add a bit of my own speciation to the thread that I've discussed with someone totally respected on here.

Let's assume the new owners are presented tomorrow and it's 'same manager, same coaches, same players and the first transfer window next year.

People will look in and think, "Yeah canny suits lads but what is there to get excited about?"

We may not get a grinning midget with a daft perm, jumping 60 feet out of a helicopter, but I can envisage a man a plan.
