Takeover Rumours

Fair enough, can't possibly imagine how you will feel the same going into next season if we were watching this lot in league 1 compared to going up and having a right go at getting back in to the prem but each to their own.
Don't get me wrong.. If these do turn out to be sugar daddy funders of our club then I would be delighted, but experience has taught me to enjoy the present and never to expect anything for nothing..

I think you may be getting these fellas personal investment in the club mixed up with their roles under Dell and the MSD group.

There's no history of them doing any such thing because they've never done anything like this before!....yes they'll want to maximise the stadiums potential (no bad thing for the club or the area) but these fellas aren't coming here to fuck about, these types are at the top of everything they do and that won't suddenly change when they take over here.
You may be right: time will tell. Regardless of whether it comes off or not I will still be there to support the lads..

Gerrin we're gonna have a NFL team a NBA team and MLB team.

The superbowl the Larry o brien trophy and the world series are coming home

These lads are very bright. Getting some real estate sewn up early for when we crash out of the EU and have to become the 51st state in the union to have a functioning economy. SAFC will be a new MLS franchise.

Away matches (or "Road" games as we will have to call them from now on) are going to be a nightmare mind.

His comments were absolutely spot on. People who watch home matches in town spending the cost of a ticket on booze are parasites.

Yeah, I never understood people being pissed off at his comments. Only going to offend those who don't go to game. His comments about Charlton outsinging us at the play off final were true aswell. If we get back to Wembley for anything then we need to have a singing section announced like Charlton did as it would massively help our atmosphere.

Fingers crossed we'll be in a few cup finals over the next 10/15 years.

I just feel they are looking at our stadium to be used as multi purpose arena more than anything else. They have no history in plowing money into sports teams, so I think that they will be very prudent regarding any money for our football team.. History has taught me never to have too high expectations regarding Sunderland..
I’m as negative as the next Sunderland supporter but if you think about it rationally, why on earth would four super rich businessmen invest in our club if they didn’t have ambitions to make us a massive success. I can’t believe for one second they would fly across the other side of the world to fuck about in the third division .!

Is it just me that thinks what ever happens is partially fucked as we have a clueless manager, average team and have missed doing anything remotely decent in the most important transfer window? We can be backed by billions or tens of millions but it’s no good when we can’t sign any one. Yeah there’s January, but I can’t see us breaking the bank for decent quality players to dig us out of what ever shit storm were in by then. Sorry chaps.

If we can't get excited about the possibilities with these owners then there's not much point bothering with football tbh. Yes we might fuck things up, or maybe they'll not invest half as much as we hope and we'll win nowt. They aren't here to see their club stuck in the championship though, and they've got the funds to make sure we aren't. They'll obviously want to build something here. I actually feel genuinely sorry for any SAFC fan who isn't excited by this news, the only thing I can think of that would be better is actually winning something; knowing we can actually compete with any other club which might help us be successful in the future is the next best thing
It's ingrained in the Sunderland supporter DNA that there is ALWAYS a kick in the bollocks around the corner. Hopefully, things are about to change.

Aye, I agreed with most tbh, but I thought the criticism of the fans at the play off final was ill advised tbh. Nowt major but it seemed a bit harsh given the support was given all season. Wasn't at all bothered by the parasite comment or the one about fans trying to stir shit with the media, he was spot on with both imo
