I've got to say, that on the odd occasion I've had the time to look at this board lately, ( mostly this thread!) I've realised what I've missed these last few months. Very canny indeed, and well done to those who have passed on what they have been told.

I'm off Friday, and hopefully now with a bit more time, so I can come on here and enjoy the twisting on if it doesn't occur, (nee hurry for me anyway mind) and the wild predictions of forthcoming world domination if it does. I'm old enough to remember being chuffed when we signed Gordon Harris. ( he had played for England not long before and for this kid that was enough!), so a bit of a wiggle on in terms of us actually ever trying to win something again would be most welcome.

These current owners have done pretty well for me, especially considering we were hurtling toward oblivion a year and a half ago, but the prospect of getting a proper leg up is another thing altogether. Here's hoping! Mind, why any rich man would buy any football club in any case is another matter altogether!

Welcome back. Ah,Gordon Harris with the Bobby Charlton haircut. Didn't we sign him from Burnley?

I'm old enough to remember Harris being played at centre back when we got relegated - crazy team.

Lovely man. Baptised me when I was baby and despite not living in the area any more, he baptised our son without having to go through any of the catholic prep. A proper MLF. Went for years. It’s people like him who deserve success, they’ve earned it with what they have had to put up with since 50’s.

We're considering an offer from an American couple who have a 'holiday manor house' near Bath.

They can only be there 3 months a year so it could be a nice job at our time of life ;)
