Takeover Rumours

I've heard a lot about people wanting a slow and steady progression with academy products and development players coming through.

I've heard earnest pleas that we don't go down the Man City/Chelsea route and spend our way to success.

I've heard people say they want to gradually build a sustainable club over a period of years and create a new model.

I have to say I'm in full and total agreement ...

... but, in reality, bollocks to all that shit and ffs finance us to the PL as soon as possible
 My thoughts too.

As if they're going to come in and sack Ross after the current ownership, who are still running things, backed him so heavily.

If we aren't right up there by January he may go. Not before.

What barmy bastards have been saying this like?

Anyone who thinks this way needs to look at Swansea and Southampton. Once lauded as the correct way to run a football club. Aye f***ing class when Liverpool etc come and sign all your players and you end up with fuck all to show for your efforts except swift relegation.

Last time I looked, Southampton were doing ok in the Premier League

I'd love to stand up for reason, prudence and morality.

I'd love to be able to look people in the eye, in 10 years time, and say we've done it all the hard way.

But, I've had enough of watching average clubs like Man City and Chelsea boosted up to world renowned giants.

Fuck it, buy me a trophy and make it quick
Football has always relied on buying titles but even when we were the 'Bank of England' club, we fucked it up. Let's spend some dosh and get into the prem and europe and quickly!

They’re the same people who wanted relegation 😂

Bloody right mate.

I've been reading everything about these people who are onboard and get frustrated that it will take this season and the next to get back in the premier league at the very earliest.

I want it now not in ten f***ing year when I might not be around to see it😄

Unfortunately it is all about money now, if you haven't got it you are excluded from the top table. And we know only too well what happens when you are relegated and stuck with crap players and having to pay them fortunes. It is not just us, happened to Wolves,Leeds,Forest, Villa. Wolves and Villa got back by spending power simple as that, there is no other way now unfortunately. There will be no more Brian Clough's winning league championship's with a team of journeymen a year after promotion, then the European cup the year after. The gap is too big. Money talks.
