January is ages away, the deadline for the summer is tomorrow. Totally different situations. Much more time to have a reasoned and considered approach to recruitment in January, rather than trying to rush it through in a day.
They aren't going to be looking into recruitment strategy currently, as they are trying to buy the club. Most on here will agree, the current recruitment set up is sub standard and isn't performing so what's the point in the new owners chucking money at it tomorrow?
Caveat to this - I do think we need players, but don't think it's a good idea just throwing money at it in a panic tomorrow.
I can recall that.It was on here a few weeks back that big sam was involved/advising with a consortium looking to buy the club...this was before the news of who it was who was buying it broke
And he's mad as a box of frogs .I reckon it will be Glenn Hoddle advising the group. Plenty of experience managing in England starting at the level we find ourselves at now. He also setup his own youth academy so knows the importance of developing youth.
At what cost ?Big Sam would see us promoted back to back.
If I lived down there Id be with you!If this hadn’t broke by Tuesday when I get back, the dog will be sick of its life walking past the academy entrance. He’ll think he’s scooby Doo with the same scenery going past again and again![]()
Dear me ,he was a perfect fit for us and got a tune out of players other mangers couldn’t .Id have him back in a heartbeat .At what cost ?

Big Sam was a perfect fit for us. I finally thought we'd clicked it with him at the helm. We played some entertain stuff with the squad he inherited and developed. I'd have him back in a heart beat.At what cost ?
As if he will reply to that, jeopardise the deal or any NDA’s by answering a tweetSomeone has tweeted SD Rivs original post asking if it's true
He was and the football was cannyBig Sam was a perfect fit for us. I finally thought we'd clicked it with him at the helm. We played some entertain stuff with the squad he inherited and developed.
But a fantastic coach by all accounts. Knows every aspect of the running of a football club and I'm sure he's got links to the states football wise. Would be silly not to consult someone with that kind of experience. And he's mad as a box of frogs .
Could that be the “massive kick in the teeth “Kevin keegan![]()
