Takeover Rumours

This is trigger hair stuff, the place is about to go up if this isn’t announced soon!
At probably the most exciting time ever for any SAFC fan, everyone’s at each other’s throats over bugger all.
We nearly went out of existence a year ago, now this!

Come on, man! Quit the bickering and enjoy it. We’re going to see times most of us could only dream of. We should all be celebrating what lies ahead, isn’t this what we’ve always wanted?

People not long back were saying the days of billionaires buying football clubs were gone, we’d never be a rich club, and would never worry the top six in the prem. Well, all this could very likely come true in a few short years.

It’s not just that the new owners are loaded, they are also brilliant businessmen with reputations and their credibility to protect. They will not fail, they will give us the very best times we’ve ever seen!

Just believe, enjoy, and stop the petty bickering!
It would be great news that we would have that kind of money behind us, though it is far from certain that they will be looking to start splashing the cash around trying to buy top end success and treating us as a rich mans plaything. They may simply see us as a sound investment opportunity where they can buy us cheap and with moderate investment get us back to the premier league lower/ mid table. We may be nothing more than a bargain to them.

NB - I have no problem with the above, I think we need to make sound sustainable decisions and make progress that way rather than throwing silly money around trying to buy instant success.

I can’t imagine, given the gargantuan scale of the wealth involved, that they would be interested in a 4 way investment over a number of years to make a potential profit (if things go well) of an amount that they wouldn’t notice in their bank accounts

My suggestion is they are looking to do something very exciting for all of us

They have the scale and resources to super boost stuff and things. By getting excited you increase your enjoyment. It's all good but could be bad or perhaps in the middle..blah blah 🤑

A merger with Newcastle and a new 100,000 seater stadium in London.

That's the only plausible explanation. We are hopefully on the cusp of exciting times both on and off the field. The feel good factor was back before the takeover news but now or ar least shortly it will be even better.

Spot on mate.

Getting Sunderland to a point where a four way split would be worth all that effort will require a massive effort.

It's ludicrous to suggest that people like this are putting themselves through all this to make 'a few dollars more'

They'll want to make money first and foremost. We would need relative success for that to happen. Buy the club for 40m, couple hundred million over a 3 or 4 years, have us say where wolves are now and they're looking at probably getting double their investment back. It's not as simple as that like, but a very basic view of it.

They could make more much quicker tbf.

It makes no sense to buy us just to make some pocket money, it could be an ego or vanity thing. If they want to leave a legacy then they'll spend, not try to make a little petty cash

I agree.

It may be a mix of vanity, potential profit and a sporting legacy.

That would mean the premier league at a minimum and European qualification for more exposure.

But Dell is already a well known brand so I don’t know why they’re using safc as an advertisement vehicle.
