Takeover Rumours

It's my belief that they'll engage local business, the council and sports groups to address the area around the ground.

I don't expect them to pay for everything but they'll help push things along.
Well,I wonder how well Shorts hotel is doing and how the council see that as a positive to build on? The fact that our present owners have cleared our top heavy staff and cut the overheads, gives them a bit of a blank canvas to start with but I suspect it will be gradual rather than a sudden cash injection. We may have to be a bit more patient than some think.
That area around the ground has a lot of potential for the right type of development, by somebody, whatever and by whoever, I have no idea.

The difference between getting home at 6pm, 6.15 or 6.30 is negligible tbh.

If that's so important you leave the game early, to go out drinking, you may have a problem.
I live in Sunderland mate and if I go to the game, I usually stay till the final whistle, then I'm off like a shot, to the pub, but, people have other things to do, not everyone lives and breaths football, some of the bastards even take their wives out on a Saturday night, the cheeky twats, they should be standing outside the SOL until midnight singing STID..

I well aware of that, and judging by the long line of traffic on the A19 directly after the match lots of them are making their way home, I have no gripe with that, people can do what they please, if they want to hang round an empty football stadium, that's fine too, I just don't see too many being attracted to that, people like to get on with their day/night, it's only my opinion, but I don't think it's a great idea, is it ok with you that I have my own opinion?
You do understand the issue is not thousands of people leaving it is thousands of people trying to leave at the same time. People go early to effectively spread out that time period. If thousands stayed back to have a beer, a chat with people they haven't seen for a while and for some entertainment it would have the same effect. You can have your opinion - they are like arseholes everyone has one.

Club had a big big hangover. Senior players causing trouble and some could either not handle pressure or simply train/play properly due to injuries. Watmore wyke cattermole grigg and then Mcgeady especially. Surprised we only lost handful of games but I do get your point.
We played 60 odd games and the manager didn't have a know his best side or formation. Last season was a massive missed opportunity. The manager imo takes a huge chunk of the blame for that.

The only senior players causing trouble were shipped out very early

Aye, and you have one too... ;) but everyone doesn't lead their life like you do, live and live, it's not going to change, that's another opinion by the way, you know it's been going on long before the SOL was built don't you? anyway, lets get back on topic, the footbridge and the monorail over to the Saltgrass, that's the main issue here, how fast do you reckon it will take to get those up and running?

Senior player tells me different mate. Some stuff can't come out but if we think it was a mess then times it by tenfold.

Can only say he's regarded and it's why I want him to succeed.

But I to shake my head at times

Expectations on here are far too high, don't want to be a debbie downer but some people are going to be disappointed with the outcome even though I think it'll be a brilliant thing.

Every time the owners wealth is talked about, people are making up figures and they seem to be getting higher every time, I expect they're very very wealthy but unlikely to be "the richest club in the world". Obviously my assumption here is that Dell isn't directly involved, which I don't think he is.

Why do think Dell is not involved? Most reports I’ve seen are reporting he will be a passive minority investor.

You said that people would be "gagging" for a pint..
Yes I know, that hardly means they're Alcoholics does it, they may have been to work all morning and gone straight to the match, they may only have one day off a week and Saturday night is their main night out, they may be going to a concert or a party, the world is a big place Steve, and full of people with alternative things to do on a Saturday night, who knows, one day you might find something that will lift your spirits and bring happiness to your life, it's a strange world mate, who knows what's round the next corner?

 it's mad how I make a throwaway comment, and people think they know me..

Keep up the silly abuse though
