Takeover Rumours

Given our area and the way the SOL is designed and land around the stadium we need competitive pricing and we can extend cheapily and easily. With an increased SOL we make more money on merchandice and catering and people seeing a packed 60,000+ stadium, advertising etc.

We are probably uniquely placed in the country to do this (the mags would love to but are land locked as example) and Im sure its in the new investors thinking.
I’ve always said we should go as big as we can, serve cheap beer and get it out quick because the rate we drink the club could make a fortune on match day. If we had really cheap tickets this would help in my opinion.

As I said earlier, your argument and thoughts have been consistent throughout and I sometimes wonder if some people thrive on negativity, wanting things to go tits up in order to say “I told you so”. If true I find that quite sad.

It's the negative lot sayibg people shouldn't get carried away?

Why not? Even if it falls through it will have been nice to dream for a week 😂

Following a club is about dreaming but there’s a difference between dreaming and delusion and I feel quite a few have slipped into the latter.
And we slaughter mags for their levels of delusion :D

Delusion? Fuck me man! I've not read everything posted but I bet it's probably a few posters you're basing that on. Yet it's nowt like the Mags level of delusion a short while ago when their deal wasn't anywhere near as 'complete' as ours.

Most posters are being rational but given what has been said and seen so far about the deal being completed, some are showing some eager anticipation and 'predicting' what could happen and it's far from delusion. Have various media/websites been saying shite for us like they did the Mags as to what team they could have signing the likes of Mbappe etc and the Mags taking it all in?

We get it, you're a pessimist and like to go against the flow whenever you can (as if you thrive in it). It's as if you would probably jump for joy if it doesn't happen and you'd be straight on here lording it.

No doubt you'll end up looking for a few 'delusion' quotes now but overall the percentage and level of 'delusion' from fans (especially compared to the Mags) that you're claiming is delusion itself!:lol:

It is absolutely more positive than it looked during a desperate pre season and opening game but people just seem to be getting so far all ahead of themselves.
There’s obviously something afoot but I just can’t get too carried away until it’s signed, sealed and delivered
You won't get carried away even when it's signed sealed and delivered 🙄 Thats totally up to you ,and a few others. If others are excited now, let them enjoy it. Nailed on you will still have a negative spin even once it's signed. That's fact 😉

I have said a couple of times on here but I know kids who got a chance to go to the SOL from Newcastle families and have went on to become Sunderland fans.

Build it high, let the kids in cheapily and we secure our fanbase for decades to come. If the mags could do this they would...they cant and with our new investment we can reclaim large parts of our territoty in the NE back.

Yes the the half emptiers on here will explain why it cant be done...Sir Bob didnt listen to them and nor I believe billionaires who have made their fortunes on calculated risk.

Build it and they will come.

I agree 100%, maybe it will maybe it won’t. But the more info I am gleaning from here the more I believe the deal is almost over the line. I think it is in our DNA to hold doubts due to our past

As I said something is clearly going on but until it’s done I just can’t get too excited.
I don’t think reiver has a clue personally. I understand people wanting to believe it but the idea that a bloke who used to make a rich Arabs bed knows the ins and outs of any big financial deal I just find rather fanciful.

But you said nothing had been announced so people were getting ahead of themselves ...
... what a raging hypocrite.

Nope, all setup by fans. Sone of the kit they have in their vans, unreal!

Could it be because a lot of their vans drive for quite a distance to get to the games? In our group I doubt that we'd get volunteers to be the designated driver to watch us get pissed in the carpark, when we can get the Fountain bus up for a few quid and drink in the Victory.
