but why would they do something to benfit the town? they are only buying safc...as one of a portfolio of sports club and other investments.

MSD Partners are not the buying vehicle. The principals are doing this as individuals (whether via a new LLP or whatever remains to be seen) precisely because they want this to be a long term project without the need to provide regular returns for investing clients. Part of this will involve increasing the club's involvement with the community. They understand that the relationship between club and city is essentially symbiotic.

inctreasing links with the community can mean anything. they arent going to develop other businesses in sunderland for the sake of it, why would they? they aere philantropists but not this..they want a long term growth asset..
are they so good at business that they can see long term growth in other assets associated with safc that ellis short couldnt? and quinn and his property developer mates?

if they do that the safc fans will go absolutely f***ing beserk..they want instant success NOW not youth players. and when the youth players come though safc fans will just condemn them anyway. there needs to be an attitude change from safc fansd.
Aye, let's establish ourselves in this league ffs.. Know our place

if safc is so small time it needs a billioanire to get it out of league one then it really is a tinpot club..clubs wothiut bullioanires get pout pof this league all the time..
We'll need rich people if we're serious about wanting to be back in the prem..

And don't bloody quote Norwich.. One offs happen, more than likely you still need money to be successful

Up until tonight I hadn't decided about you, now I have.

You have no love for the city of Sunderland, the club or the supporters.

No problem, you're certainly not alone on this board.

You're certainly a fake, and a bitter one at that.

Thing is gom the team and promotion has to come first.Im all for increasing club involvement in the city but thats got down the line a bit.I would also be amazed if these lads are spending money on us because they want to fanny on with council projects.

It should go hand in hand tbf
a minute ago i was a fantasist now im back to being the owner of the club and broker of a deal with billionaires?

what kind of logic is this. Having billionaire owners seems the antithesis of smalltime to me. Our ground, fanbase, training facilities. It’s all big time! We’ve just fallen on stoney ground momentarily.
