Takeover Rumours

That's true, but what is wrong is the cost, quality and level of service of the whole thing. People won't drink in the ground before the game due to this and go to the local clubs and pubs as it's cheaper.

I'm sure @kildaremackem is well aware that all of those things need to improve once the current contract comes to an end. Interesting to see the person involved in setting that up has made yet another spectacular failure with a personal business venture.

Over to you CM!

whats this reference to the spectaculr failure? Im not questioning if your right..Im certain you are..its just not something I know about?
So... For the apes like me... Does this mean investment or full control?
GOMs point above doesnt affect that either way..thats just the structure..not how many shares they use that structure to buy..

Thought this was worth a bump.

The first 10 pages of this thread make for interesting reading :lol:

Interesting.
People have googled the investors and rightly become very excited with the news based on money.
However if you read the supporting blurb they are wanting sustainability and self funding.
My views have not changed about the current owners one bit.
Go to the ground on a non match day and look around. It’s very very impressive. We are no where near a Bolton or a Bury in terms of debt free and instant top league.
It’s like buying a rolls Royce for next to nothing.
Like every Sunderland fan I want this to work so much.
Bump the post in five years time.
Then we can judge Donald and Tory boy.

Are we allowed to dream and get excited about this as iirc the mags were mocked for getting all giddy about the Arabs.

Perhaps it’s one rule for one and one for the other though so just checking...........

Showed your true colours here nob

Plenty on here were shitting themselves when those rumours were about.

If you aren't excited by this you must not love this club. Even if it doesn't materialise nothing like this has been linked before

Really wish you'd piss off these forums

IF and it’s a big IF this all happens then I hope any investment we get with a view to long term rather than short term. Improving the stadium, catering, match day experience etc. Don’t get me wrong i wouldn’t be against signing Neymar (as back up to McGeady) but I hope there’s a long term strategy that goes beyond their time at the club
thats the only way they can make a prodit on this..

I said in an earlier thread, I would like to see any takeover from this type of consortium no tonly look to investing (with a return) in the club, but also the area itself. We could do with another Nissan.. plenty of people Im sure would be happy to retrain building Dell kit!! ;)

the man city owner want sustainable and self funding as well..every owner does..

Anything more than 50% is control; full control is more than 75%. For these investors, I think Donald will sell 75.1%.
Ah I see and madrox will hold the rest of the shares. Nice little profit for Donald if we do get back to the prem. (not hating on Donald BTW love him me)

I think what we're being told has a bit more credibility than the latest takeover rumour from Mike Ashley and his mob - don't you agree? And SD wants to sell and has our interests at heart (and his own obviously) - Ashley just hates the mags.

And plenty were taking the piss out of them for getting carried away which is exactly what a lot of us are doing.

FWIW I think this is brilliant and if can’t have some optimism over something like this then no point following a club so I understood the mags being excited as well.

Mags = getting carried away
Sunderland = enjoying some optimism
