Takeover Rumours

As a bit of an aside, based on a lot of comments there seem to be posters on here who don't want Ross to succeed.

I can understand thinking he isn't capable of succeeding, that's a matter of opinion, but if you've strayed into the territory of hoping he doesn't then that's just plain weird and you need to have a word with yourself.

Good post. I've got serious doubts about him and not going to lie, if I thought we could kick him out now and get a big name manager in I'd take it, but if he stays which it looks like he is then I'd like nothing better than him getting us up this season and then really proving himself in the championship. For as long as he's here I'll support him at the games

The more pertinent question is how many world class players have we had at their peak? Phillips would be the last one and he's an anomaly.

As much as I can see why people are reluctant to become the next Man City, wouldn't it be lovely to watch the best platers in the world in red and white when they're not either a bairn or over the hill?
Me dad was alledgedly a cracking plater at Laings… 😉
Oh man. Just some football. Some spirit. Christ, we don't want much, eh?

That's all anyone can ask for to be honest. There seemed to be a few people who were genuinely upset when we strung five wins together and over the moon when we got wolloped last week.

Why out of interest? The new owners are stupidly wealthy. Not sure how it's unrealistic tbh.
I don't think its unrealistic but the implied ethos from SD, is that with the club moving forward with our wealthy investors it will be a self sustaining top ten premier league team. That's a good realistic target for now but my opinion could change being a primitive fickle football supporter and too be honest we should all be wanting trophy's for the club.

If true, then it'll be a NDA, which would explain the radio silence. Obviously once it was actually done them everything will change. It's simply not done yet, outside of hyperbole land.
They would’ve signed an NDA at the start. If they were signing an NDA they wouldn’t have told my coworkers what they told them.

Agree fully.

All of us want success and the football could be better but I really hope he succeeds. Then the club is successful.

I also think he will. But if not then onto the next.
