I smell lack of ambition or newcastle brown.. i am not sure which at the moment.
With a hint of gravy.
That's bound to happen, once a club becomes successful the bad times are soon forgotten by some. Someone posted earlier that there could be a new generation of supporters that will only ever know success and I hope that becomes a fact tbh.All of us do im sure..but we'll be watching for any billy biggobs who might forget where they came from and start giving it large about how great we are (even if its true)
I’m off on Friday so if it happens then all the better.
I’ve been quite angry about the club since Saturday so hearing about these intentions has helped. I’m fed up of the shit we’ve had to put up with so if these owners are coming in all guns blazing then I aggressively approve. Really does sound too good to be true.
Thing that sticks in my mind was the league cup final v man city that would have ment everything to safc yet they won and many of their fans left on the final whistle (yeah i know we have early leavers at the sol) it m3nt little to them in the scheme of things ..i hope if we get to those dizzy heights we could be humble enough to support the lads if it was always our 1st cup win ..That's bound to happen, once a club becomes successful the bad times are soon forgotten by some. What a kick in the gonads if we all wake up to find this has been bollocks!

There's lots to be done. Those 'interviews' with mumbled sound that look like they were shot by a six-year-old with an i-phone4; the catering is absolutely abysmal, the stewards look like the walking dead; the 'fanzone' is a mere shadow of what could be done; the SoL needs to better exploited to support the lasses/kids/U23s etc. and we haven't got on the grass yet. The sports science/dietary advice/physical conditioning needs to be cutting edge; we need to explore psychological and motivational development; the football coaching, especially the defence, needs to drilled and drilled and drilled again; we need a comprehensive strategy for bringing through Academy products; there needs to be a pastoral unit too. It's a new day.The place is already pretty lean- I think the likes of Kevin ball etc have risen the train long enough- and Ross better sort his defending out or he will be gone -
Should we reach those dizzy heights then that would be my worst fear. Success would be absolutely massive for us that have followed the lads through decades of false hopes and disappointments, but there will naturally be those that know nothing of our past and will accept a win as something of a right of passage. I'm sure there's a large portion of our support that won't forget the bad times should success come our way.Thing that sticks in my mind was the league cup final v man city that would have ment everything to safc yet they won and many of their fans left on the final whistle (yeah i know we have early leavers at the sol) it m3nt little to them in the scheme of things ..i hope if we get to those dizzy heights we could be humble enough to support the lads if it was always our 1st cup win ..
This ^ awaken the sleeping giant and see what happens. There's lots to be done. A lot of contracts are up in a few months, so the people on the grass need to cop on too.
I take it a bunch of flowers won't helpThat's fine mate, as long as you're not putting me under any pressure
OK, I've resisted so far but I'll say more having spoken to the personal friend of two of the buyers.
He's been in touch today and given me just a little more info but not much tbh.
I'm stringing him along but have no intention of working for him as Mrs Reiver wasn't happy with the proposal. I'm only pretending to be considering his offer so I can get more info for you lot which I think is decent of me tbf. It's a shame I won't be able to use him for real first hand inside info, in the future, If I worked for him I'd get to meet his friends in a relaxed atmosphere and work my undoubted charm.
That would put me in a position where I have two of our owners as 'friends' and be able to let them use me as a 'source' to leak stuff to the likes of you
I'm gutted but our lass puts up with a lot and she comes before you lot.
Anyway, having set the scene, here's what else I can say, in terms we're all familiar with, and without breaking confidences. The new owners are as cool as the other side of the pillow but absolutely driven in their quest for absolute success in every aspect of their lives. Every part of the club will be electro-shocked into action, money will be pumped into it by whatever means are legally available and anyone who 'fails' will be forced to walk the plank. The supporters, despite all the years of promises, magic carpets and disappointment, will be expected to get on board. I suspect that, if that support is begrudging, the owners will feel free to do whatever they wish to attract sponsorship, investment and support from outside the UK. We have to bear in mind that TV, sponsorship, merchandising, corporate involvement, etc, totally eclipse our input. We have a chance, maybe only one, to be a big part of this ... otherwise we'll see it happen despite us, not because of us.
That would hurt me and, I hope, all of you.
A mag man pretending to be a woman.
And a partridge in a pear tree
Lazarus. That fucker gave me the creeps. I was just waiting for him to tell us to put the lotion in the basket....

Not so sure that is necessarily true mate. Relatively speaking, maybe, but I'm sure that we must have had the clout to match Luton, Barnsley and Charlton. Coventry seemed to do it on a budget (performance wise), in the way of 'Shrewd', loan signings, too. They cost money.
Sounds like we need you on board mate. Well said. There's lots to be done. This worries me a bit, if we get a snap election and corbyn wins. He has already said he will pinch people’s second homes at a fair price. Who knows what he would do with us. It will be in there thoughts. I think if we lived in more settled times this may have already been done and announced. I wish brexit was sorted so we could all move on.Brexit will have an impact and this will be on the table.
