Takeover Rumours

TBH I don't think it's affecting anything.

Everyone knows it's a formality so transfer targets are being pursued and the decks cleared for a media event.

Other than that I know nothing at all tbh.

No doubt the doubters will be praying it falls apart so they can post a few 'typical Sunderland' smilies.
wonder if the new guys have any frame of reference re type of players they'd like to see coming in short term?
is it a three or four man MSD buy in?

Expectations on here are far too high, don't want to be a debbie downer but some people are going to be disappointed with the outcome even though I think it'll be a brilliant thing.

Every time the owners wealth is talked about, people are making up figures and they seem to be getting higher every time, I expect they're very very wealthy but unlikely to be "the richest club in the world". Obviously my assumption here is that Dell isn't directly involved, which I don't think he is.
Most posters are hopefull rather than expecting huge success. The ones being overly optimistic seem to be tongue in cheek. However the usual suspects and undercover mags are ensuring we all keep our feet firmly on the ground, so we don't get carried away. After all we are just little old Sunderland.

My big concern, they don’t appear to have any connection to football. Do they fully understand and appreciate what’s required. I’m chuffed Don in involved as this is the direct link. But without him, I’d be worried (especially what’s going on with Bolton, bury, villa pre takeover)

This isn’t negative, just a concern.
When they have this much cash shit like this will just become a dick waving contest rather than a love of football. Hopefully we’ll end up with a squadron of dick wavers hung like John Holmes backing us up...

We don't actually KNOW that. We have someone kindly passing on a comment. We live in hope but it's not all over until it's rubber stamped, unfortunately.
I’m talking about Riv saying he knows nowt, however he’s gave us a glimmer of hope by passing on that it’s done barring the EFL crack.
Does Reiver have s good track record on here like?

He’s Sunderland through and through and wouldn’t bullshit about us.

11 days since reps from MSD were at the Portsmouth game....
Didn't SD say it takes longer when looking at international individuals though? Which is why Sartori came on a little bit after... I really hope it's soon as there's always that tinge of doubt lol but I certainly have no reason to disbelieve Reiver and I just really want to start celebrating 🥂 lol

I should just say that there are very well respected posters with more direct info from SAFC. However they're not about to jeopardise their relationship with the current owners by betraying a confidence for the sake of a bit of attention on here. I won't repeat anything they've told me because they'd quite rightly stop telling me.

It's exactly the same with the tickets I sort for people, other posters generally help but I've allowed myself to become a focal point for two reasons.

Firstly these lads don't want some of the endless negativity and snide cracks from the resident tossers. Secondly I don't give a shit. The many people who know me can read my posts knowing I'm repeating exactly what I've been told. The people who doubt me and sneer aren't worth the steam off my piss tbh. If I say I'll buy a ticket, or sort one for someone, people can rely on me 100% which takes the worry out of dealing with strangers, on a message board.

All I'll say, finally, is that the info from other people is even better than I've posted ...

... I wish I could hoy it up on here but can't.

When I see Glen Fuhrman's mate, on Sunday, I'll be able to post that because it will be first hand and not mentioned to me by one of the lads on here.

Hope that helps.

Senior player told me that even when they can't understand his incoherent mumbling they can't decipher his bizarre tactics.
But no-one is brave enough to tell him as they'll never play for a bigger club than us, so pretend to regard him.
Let's hope it's not the same one then.

But I know I can rely on mine ;)

Surely a third tier on the West stand (the New Dell stand) will also be in the plan ensuring the largest football arena in the premiership. That way we can make the club shop bigger too.
People laughed at Sir Bob when he proposed a 42,000 stadium when we were averaging less than 20,000 in the early 90's.

A 65,000 SOL would be mental and would be one of the best if not best stadiums in the country. A 75,000 SOL with an extension on the West stand would be beyond mental but I think we would have to be in Champions League territory to be considered.
