I get not wanting to believe it until the proverbial scarf is held above our collective napper but this seems almost certain to happen given everything we've seen this past week.

Correct, 24 years of my life was spent alongside some of them, not once did I ever say something like that.

When you’re in the shit and there’s rounds whizzing over your head and the splash is in and around you everyone is the same, some of the best soldiers I’ve worked with were Geordies, some absolute whoppers too. Some cracking lads from Sunderland along with some whoppers, that was the same for people from all over the country.

That mag is talking absolute fuckin nonsense, nobody would be that disrespectful to other soldiers when they’ve been through that shit together.
