Takeover Rumours

The other three are investing their own personal wealth apparently. They're all rich but not Dell rich.
The way I'm looking at it (if it happens) is that will be plenty to move us back up. If we do start to become successful, on and thus off the field, as M Dell's advisors they will be quick enough to cut him a slice of a good thing, or even cash in and sell him it.
Basically if it works and they want to go 'galactic' the money is there. Staged thing, which I prefer personally.

I've read the finance is coming from Dell and his mates privately, and not through MSD. The only only reason MSD is mentioned is to show their links...

Whees Gav? He seems to know a lot about them.

these people are worth obscene amounts of money. why would they buy us to try and flip a quick profit if we got back into the PL? it would be absolute buttons to them

they've got billions and and nowt to spend it on so fancy a little side project of owning a football club. they also hate the mags

this is what I'm choosing to believe
Chances and market traders I've heard. Just looking to make a quick buck like the last pair. Nee good I tell thee.

I know exactly why. But posters on here latch on to everyone saying that Donald is god, he’s given our club back and transparency. Etc.

In reality he’s just a figure head making personal gain. I don’t blame him but I do blame the gullible idiots who idolise him because he has selfies outside the ground with fans and babies.

Well that's just horseshit.. what exactly do you blame them for?

Good work.

As I thought, shite and unoriginal. Typical mags.

By product of the John Hall Geordie nation nonsense. The majority of those calling us chickentown won’t be from Newcastle themselves. They will be living in the same areas as Sunderland fans
Here he is, having a go at the fans once again. Bitter little wanker.

Tbf, he is right mind. If these people come onboard, we all need to pull in the same direction and that means the fair weather element either need to support the club.

This could be our big chance. Let’s not waste it

It is unclear whether the proposed investment is being made by the MSD company that manages the Dell fortune or if its a number of executives who happen to be employed by MSD using their personal wealth - they appear to be very rich men.

I did read however that MSD does invest in sports teams in the US and has interests in baseball. In addition Donald also referred to the investor as having ties with "computers" in the States and I think that he may have wanted to avoid making that connection and distance them from Dell and MSD if they were using their private funds. To my mind In saying that the investment was associated with computers sort of hints that the investor is MDS.

In addition MDS must have some rules about what it allows its top people to get up to in their spare time in order to avoid any confusion in the public's mind about what it is doing and they are doing. For example getting associated with a bad deal that you actually have nothing to do with can be very damaging for an organisation like MDS.

Hopefully we shall find out soon enough!

They are looking for any hope to cling onto that there’s a chance this won’t work out!
Well im afraid leave means leave oh shit wrong forum. No thing is even the most sensible of our posters were discussing and stressing in some cases about how many billions they have.Older posters will remember tom cowie saying after the 2nd million all other millions were irrelevant. We still got plenty to worry about, but how many billions isnt one of them

At this stage, I don’t think any of the media know the details, so I would not read too much into any report. The news broke mostly over night last night, just saying ‘takeover by these 4 people’. That generated a wave of interest with each media outlet having pretty much the same story. As people wanted more information, each outlet has been desperate for their own angle, to be a bit different and ultimately get clicks. A lot of the stories will be pure speculation and not much different to posts on here.
