Takeover Rumours

^^ This, I notice Reiver is being very careful what he says now as when people ask his OPINION on something, if his OPINION proves not to be the case certain people will take great delight in picking that up. Pathetic Really.

Not that it bothers me but I'm picked up on the slightest grammatical nuance, no wonder people can't be arsed to post.

I've said clearly that the deal is done but unless I spell it out every time I post some people take it that I'm doing a subliminal 'Shaun'

Everything I've posted is with permission, I'm breaking no confidences and could post a hell of a lot more ... and the only person I want licking my arse is Mrs Reiver

I agree with most of this however its natutal for folk to to be picking at everything people post on such an important subject........i have had in the past had lots of information from relatives of players throug my work over the years who tell me things but i never post them because they are second hand and i dont trust the information as things change so quickly in football especially around signing players. If i had seen a whatsap post from a new owner thanking somebody for congratulating somebody for new ownership of the club i would believe it...but the deal might not have been finalised at that point and a glitch could have occurred anyway her is hoping !
That is your prerogative, but the people dissecting every word and nuance of what somebody says will just deter those people from sharing that information with the other people who will just believe that some people aren't liars or bullshitters. Evil thinkers are evil doers generally.

You have no idea either. Why do you think it is that people who think it will happen have more of and idea than those that think it won't?
Because the people that believe it will happen have shared info that has proven to be correct.

What info can you share that it is not happening? Obviously you'll be able to back up any info you have

Really ? IMO they would not do that unless they were investing.
Nothing formal, no info, just chatted to a lot of people.
It's normal to keep confidential information to yourself. Posting it on a forum such as this, imo is just attention seeking and breaking somebody's confidence to massage your own ego and have a load of idiots licking your arse.

It's normal to want to know things about your club but does it really make a difference if we find things out a few weeks early ?
Couldn’t agree more. Absolutely nothing in it for the posters

:)
These fellas aren't poor and even if we end up being worth an exaggerated £500m as we got top half of the PL in a few seasons, how much each will they make if they sold us? At most a £100m or so each given they'll have also invested money to get to that stage. These fellas are mega rich so is it really just about the money or is there something else to it? It's nowt to do with footy but I do know that Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has donated around $1.65b helping kids.

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of children living in urban poverty through improving their education, health and family economic stability.

We start by identifying the people and places most in need. We then work closely with our partners to find solutions that combine bold thinking with real-world experiences and hard data. We go directly into communities and learn about families’ struggles and aspirations, then pair those most in need with proven, practical solutions to help them move forward. Since our start, nearly 20 years ago, we have committed more than $1.685 billion to support families across the United States, India and South Africa.

We firmly believe that true progress and transformative, sustainable change are the products of time, hard work, and a willingness to stand shoulder to shoulder with those who live and breathe the challenges we aim to overcome. We know we can’t solve every problem, but with collaboration and determination we can accelerate real progress for real people every day.

@Reiver has hinted at stuff and it may well be that it's more than just signing a few cheques to buy a few expensive players for SAFC and doing little else. Obviously the potential 4 owners won't be helping kids like the MSD Foundation does but maybe they would still like to help 10,000's of people in the area. They could potentially develop the area around the ground and further afield or even work with the council/businesses etc. This may also make them extra money but they'd also be remembered as not only taking a 'sleeping giant' club from the 3rd to 1st division but also helping Sunderland develop into something far better than it currently is and possibly improve it for generations to come!

For some people, the feeling of helping others in less fortunate circumstances is worth more than just trying to make money, especially to a billionaire. The bonus for them is they've got a footy team to watch along their own journey and no doubt SAFC and the 10,000s fans will get under their skin in time and they may well become adopted fans ;)

This post is a bit of a mess but hopefully you get the jist of what I mean.
Good post mate.

I like to see people who have done well give something back to the less fortunate or deserving communities. It looks like Mr Dell does that by the bucket load. Good to see and bodes well for our future.

Get away man, you're loving it. You must have hundreds of posts on this thread yourself, you're on nearly every page.

It appears to be a bigger problem for you than it is a pleasure for me.

The thread's been quite funny at times yet you're taking everything so seriously.

If you don't like it I'm surprised you're so keen to be here tbh.

This is a Sunderland AFC message board where people discuss and share information about Sunderland AFC isn't it? Or have I misunderstood that and it is a message board for people to bitch about other posters and be generally obnoxious.

If I had genuine ITK info about this takeover, that i'd been given permission to share, I'd be all over it and passing on as much as I could. 95% of posters appreciate it, unfortunately there are some precious posters who don't like other people getting positive attention who hoy their rattles about.
