Takeover Rumours

Inevitable when there's nothing new for people to discuss ...

... perhaps I should make summat up

I've heard through my connections that they're yachting over sometime early this week for the announcement, but they need the docks to be prepared for their arrival so we should see the preparations for that begin as early as today.

I've had my facts confirmed by two sources, one rhymes with bad merb and the other I made up.

Actually this is something I was thinking @Roger might want to consider. Some forums sometimes update the first post on threads like this; the idea being that if you want the discussion/ crack you can read on as normal, but if you've been at work or whatever you can just go to the first post and any major updates are added to the OP so that you can quickly get up to speed, rather than having to wade through page after page to try and find the odd one or two useful, relevant posts, or having to be one of many constantly saying "anything happened?". I'm sure on match threads they sometimes edit the first post to include links to the goals, if a mod had the time or inclination to do it for this thread it could be really useful for those who aren't sad like me and reading literally everything!
First post would literally say, “still no crack” or “announced”. Sounds shit.

Could you imagine the euphoria if he was unveiled this week? At least we would see some attacking football.
That’s the problem with a takeover and how to announce it really. They would be mental to come in and say they have pots of money to spend and away they go. The price of players goes through the roof. They also on flip side don’t want to say we will be very very cautious with the money and slow build as that will deflate the fanbase straight away.
That’s why I do think a new manager or dof is needed to be announced. For example if it was Keane then the buzz around the place would be massive and it shows their intention straight away. Like when Donald and co took over, the announcement about Coleman going before hand created the buzz without saying much about spending.

Just search for Reivers posts....in this thread anyway. Most of the other stuff seems to be white noise!

Interested? Then why haven't they taken over? If they were interested they would be the new owners by now. This saga has been drawing on for weeks and perhaps months now and we are no further forward with regard to what we have heard than when we were when we first heard they were 'interested' in taking over the club.

In other words, you haven't a clue, like the rest of us.

What we do know is that the future investers were present at our last home game and people were being shown around the AOL on Saturday.

 fair point. It would still stop the constant "I've been at work, just finished, there's loads of pages, has anything happened?" posts. They could just go to the first page, see fuck all has happened, and leave the rest of us to wallow in the thread! But there could be the odd "Reiver says Wednesday is still his best guess for the announcement" or something, just to give them a tidbit to cling to!

So what’s the hold up? This was apparently ‘done’ weeks ago.

Reiver aside official news has come from the original report and the BBC

BBC have said it's on course for early this week. It's Monday morning.

So why act the twat again?

If it was Thursdays with no news I could understand but it's not like you to be controversial just to be controversial is it

Easily the worst poster on here

Didn’t reiver say it was going to be last Friday? Do people just keep guessing until they are eventually right then claim to be ITK
