Cautious optimism lads and lasses. Don’t get too caught up in it just because the worst owners in our history will no longer control the club. Let’s see what the new lads actually do instead of just hearing what they say. Still, it’ll be a very good day when it gets done.
We are all talking like it’s almost done. Roker Report got people’s hopes up last year with Dell. I still don’t see how in the current climate any club outside of the premier league can even be genuinely ‘on the market’.

After last year, I think that RR will be very careful with their sources.
I hope so. Just seems too good to be true. The one thing that this club has of premier league standard is the fans but that’s irrelevant now. I don’t see why they’d be attracted to us as we are a million miles away from the premier league.

Think this is a bit different with Sartori seemingly to be heavily involved and already involved with the present regime. They will probably be all sorts of clauses for different innuendo’s in the sale.

Fantastic news for us all if these reports are true.
Now might be a very appropriate time to cast our minds back to 2009 and Southampton in particular. They started that league one season on minus 10 points under the new ownership of Marcus Liebherr, net worth 3 billion, who appointed Nicola Cortese to oversee his business interests within the club.
KLD, his family and JS eclipse this level of wealth by some distance. Here's hoping their first appointment is of the calibre of Mr.Cortese. Amateurs like Methven and Donald need not apply.

Our potential is huge. The infrastructure is still PL in terms of the stadium and academy, and as you say, the fans are brilliant.
If I was confident I had the money to improve a club, I’d invest it in a club like ours. Pick it up relatively cheap, much cheaper than a PL club and watch it grow.
That’s me dream anyway 😀

In terms of potential and infastructure we are a fantastic opportunity for the right people.

Its the fans that attract the money...... 30 thousand fans in league one at 2020 prices is outstanding No matter what that pond life Methbin (sic) says there are no better fans of football in the world than Sunderland fans! and if we were geographically nearer london we would have been bought out years ago and riding high in the prem.
Maybe, just maybe, there’s a confidentiality clause. Same as every major business deal
it wont break confidentiality if they said we are in negations (already public knowledge) and if everything goes well we hope to finish soon.
