Obviously the talkins and podcasts were his downfall but his promoting of the club only got it more noticed, he constantly banged the drum to get fans in through the door, pretty sure if it wasnt for his push of tickets getting sold we wouldnt have had 46,000 on boxing day....He done a lot wrong but he did do a lot of good

I'm not sure if you've been watching this Government, but it's not exactly renowned for its good PR or image.

All im saying is he will promote Sunderland in better ways with better backing and more professional businessman by his side rather than Stewart Donald

Mate, the fans did that. Just like we did the buying tickets for people who were down on their luck. The man is a complete fraud who did fuck all for Safc apart from slag off the customer base. Utterly useless and only where he is due to rampant cronyism. He’s got nothing to contribute to Safc.

Pretty much this. You could see on Netflix it was a Tony Davidson idea and a light bulb moment from Methven to steal it and make it his. It also showed it was more about him than the fans
However, as much as I dislike the odious twat, I am willing to give the new owners a chance, if he thinks he has a purpose to serve. I'm sure he wont take fools lightly either
The grass isn't always greener, admittedly, but at the moment our lawn is f***ing bare

If he’s appointed as an executive director then his share holding is irrelevant- he will be running things.

The highest League One crowd for Boxing Day was mentioned by Davidson in STID 2, you could see Methven light up. The rest just evolved, I wasn't referring to the fans buying tickets for others

I think it’s important to say that I don’t think any of us know the “role” he’ll play. He might be pretty insignificant, he might be more front and centre, we just don’t know yet. Let’s see.

I am shite at trying to do two things at once. Working from home and answering e mails, doesn't mix so my post wasn't really clear. I will end up posting "Close those PPMs down before I run a report for Group" on a random thread somewhere. That will flummox them

Big, solid, tin hat on here but Methven is better than Donald in terms of business, he's just an arrogant, pompous prick.

If i had to pick between the two of them i would rather have Methven working under a proper regime where he can't just do and say as he pleases, than Donald, who is literally clueless.

I dont want either like, but if that's the way it's going to be then so be it, anything is better than now.
