You know what.. I'm not overly concerned about us doing a 'Leicester' or a 'Man City'. Just want a club/team to be proud of again. An ownership that wants the best for the club first and if it helps line the pockets of a few then fine.
Weve won nothing (of real note) in the past few years but have some amazing memories of watching this club in the late nineties to early 00s. Just to have something like that again would be canny.
With maybes a european outing just once in my lifetime that Id remember!!

I think your first sentence explains why they can’t/haven’t. It’s just some of the lads feelings, which could be based on insider knowledge, cynicism, dislike of the owners, gut feeling, etc..., same as our fans.
If it was based on fact, I’m pretty sure they’d say something.
And I’d like to think if nothing more comes out from the club about the takeover by mid-December, then RAWA will be back in looking for answers. I know I’ll be pushing them to, as will our supporters.
Hopefully none of this comes to be, the takeover happens, Donald/Methven are never to be heard from again, and the new owner(s) have a genuine plan to get Sunderland back in the top flight.
Then we as supporters can all just get behind the team we love and once again enjoy following our beloved club.

Irrespective of it is their feelings or not, it’s been nearly two weeks since they cancelled and it’s been two weeks of silence. You also said they would know more than you. Remember the cynicism amongst fans when they cancelled the day before? It’s showing complete contempt from the owners, especially since the results are not what they should be. They are required by the EFL to have these meetings, there is no harm in planning in a date, like they did with the previous. But again they are getting off lightly whilst people just accept any old shite that they spout.
