This old abacus user thinks you have hit the nail on the head....for most clubs in the Premiership, their business model, whilst spending more than the income they bring in, depends on selling academy grads for a lot of money (eg for us Henderson, to name, the only, one) or to bring in cheaper overseas players and sell for a profit (us never)!

Imagine he is spouting this and he does not stand a single chance of getting ownership then the club lose nothing by stating he's talking shite. In fact it would be a good thing as it would promote customer relations. Remember that's IF there's no chance.

Now their silence worries me . It makes me think he has and the club are listening to the tit.

His company being placed into compulsory liquidation means he'll automatically fail the owners and directors test, as will the outstanding claims against him in respect of trade mark infringement

Surely running SAFC successfully would be a far bigger task than Marseille. Far more work required here than there would be in France. Even purely from a business point of view, SAFC would have a higher ceiling purely just by getting back into the PL. Marseille won’t compete with PSG any time soon so will be also rans in France for the foreseeable future.

They lose nothing from just ignoring him too tbh. I wouldn’t expect them to comment if I said I was buying the club and I assume I have more money than he does.

The can stop the story dead though, that's the thing. When the two non execs came in we were promised they would improve communication between the club and the fans, and this is a really easy opportunity to do it. That communication remains non existent though, I don't recall the last time we heard from either of them in that capacity.
