Have to say I would normally agree with this. It's Mike Ashley-esque.

But I've seen an email from someone directly involved in the takeover talks sayings its "close". Now, either he is an absolute despicable human being and lying out of his arse to deliberately wind people up, or there's still a very good chance of this still happening. There are "multiple NDA's", or so he also says, hence why no one knows who the potential buyer is.

Not true at all. That's the problem with people putting timescales on things like Donald did and Barnes has done. It builds hope and then when the date comes and passes it leads to frustration and disappointment.

I know mate but I’m just not arsed if people don’t believe me. They’ve every right not to and say there’s no talks. But there is and has been for quite a while now.

But then it might all fall out like FPP last year and they can claim they were right all along. That would be catastrophic for this club mind so the told-you-so’s would be pretty bitter

Strange that MG was very vocal about saving his hometown club and then no further comment since he said he will do his best. Must have signed an NDA. Surprised he’s not said anything if they have now have genuinely walked away as @rubberface mentioned. Unless the NDA was for a specifically dated length of time i.e. January 2021.
