Covid-19 hasn’t stopped recruitment, if there’s a vacancy it is filled. I know loads of companies that have appointed people over the last 6 months.

I'm still amazed that the club could manage to be so professional and keep this take over a secret for months, whilst being a complete and utter f***ing shambles in every aspect for over 2 seasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was some interest a few month back, then someone got ahead of themselves and ran their mouth off to Barnes and nothings happened since.

Managed to keep it away from all the media and journalists who are searching for a story but thankfully they’re keeping a few internet message board posters in the loop. Great strategy.

Thats what I can't believe mate. I just think someone would have said something to the press by now if a take over was going ahead. Its much easier to keep something under wraps when there's fuck all happening in the first place.

I’m the same. Sky, local rags etc always have the details way before it’s completed. 99 times out of 100 they’re reporting about it before it’s agreed and gone to the efl. Even Donald’s takeover of us was mooted weeks before and that was kept incredibly quiet.

To be fair to Bob he PM'd me several days ago re the chairman position being filled (without naming who it was). Whether he is proven to be correct is another matter but I have no reason to disbelieve him.

He told me it had been filled and gave a reason why it wasn't being announced. As I said, I have no idea if he is correct.

He said the same to me in July. I can’t see why the club wouldn’t announce key appointments if they have been made, suppose it’ll all come out before long
