I don't really mind the banning last year.

I made it clear that day that I would be starting a thread questioning how much money the club was owed by SD and that my suspicion was that they had created conditions where some or all of that debt may be wiped. It was also clear that it was borderline impossible to be 100% accurate on it, even if in a holistic sense, it was largely correct that Donald was going to wipe debts.

In the end RTG were being intimidated by a very clear - but completely baseless - strategy from the club of pretending that they would sue anyone saying things about them that weren't 100% accurate (which of course, is nearly impossible).

With the Daily Mail, for example, they told us they'd sue them, focusing on 10% of the article they had wrong rather than the 90% that they had right. Needless to say, that went nowhere because it would have revealed the financial truth, which they were at the time trying to avoid us knowing.

So it's good that the Emperor's new clothes were revealed and that some of us got banned for saying it, maybe it has taught us a lesson not to believe the narrative of these people.

If the bit in bold is true I can understand some of the bans in fairness @ReaL Madras

Aye, Methven claimed in the infamous meeting that never was, that they had a couple of defamation cases going on. This also appears to have been yet another half truth/lie.
That was when the lads from RAWA and ALS really got our backs up when he started claiming only Sunderland and Newcastle fans give their owners grief!?
Or ‘the Sunderland disease’ to use his exact words.

The silly sod. I remember Kassam (I think he was called) receiving loads from fans of the club he supports.
Mind, he called them, as well as us, "assholes" in my company so it appears he had little regard for fans of any club.

Tomorrow, but worth bearing in mind that it's going back to the previous method of agreeing minutes, so there's unlikely to be a summary produced as quickly as previously. I believe they are hoping to get the minutes agreed quite swiftly, but obviously that is partly in the hands of the club
Can RAWA not publish 'unofficial' unsigned minutes? In reality they're a true representation of what's discussed but they release them under the guise of "these are unofficial and not necessarily agreed by the club' type of statement? Fair enough they'll burn their bridges and trust with the current owners but so fuck, hopefully they'll be jogging on anyway.

Yeah exactly. In hindsight, we can all see that was them trying to deter others from vocalising any suspicions that something was amiss. Equally, I understand Roger and co taking that at face value this time last year.

Interesting thread on an Oxford forum I just found while scanning for his DM 'lawsuit' that never existed btw, see if you can spot Charlie :D

And something else I notice:

Basically Charlie got his knickers in a twist over the monies owed to Darryl Eales, our previous owner, being secured on future transfer fees, and then Oxford being called debt free, yet it appears the same has happened at Sunderland except secured against the PL parachute payments.

Interesting that Charlie was on the arse end of a deal at Oxford that ended up with them owing some of their future income to the outgoing owner, but then set up a deal with us that sent a proportion of future income to the outgoing owner...
