Takeaways

Absolutely shite aren’t they when you really think about it when you take into consideration the quality of the food and prices , I think it’s mainly down to laziness as to why people get them , i am one of them .

Just spent £25 (including delivery fee)on a Naan bab there and it was absolutely bang average, as most are tbh.

Waste of money , could have got and made a lot of decent food for that if I’d went shopping instead . I think I’m going on a takeaway ban , that was my first one in 2 weeks tonight believe it or not.

Thoughts
Prefer to pick and choose carefully these days. Go for carry out from a restaurant rather than a take out joint - there's a decent Mexican near me that does a take out service, not to mention my local Indian Restaurant that does similar. Tend to give the likes of your "Pizza King" and "Kebab World" type establishments a wide berth.

Only really bother with a particular indian round our way as it is good quality but now costs about £75 for 4 of us which is ridiculous. Probably have 4 or 5 a year.

Mate of mine who used to use the same takeaway now orders this:
- reckons its superb for same money but gets 2 meals out of the delivery
Used to work with an indian called Aktar, lads renamed him hacksaw.

Years later they took his son on, junior hacksaw!

£85
8 curries, 2 rice and naans delivered to your door.

I guess a non special off indians would cost more (plenty 5 course £13 round our way).

Might give it a bash though!

I maybe get one a year maximum but my recent domestic circumstances meant I have had two recently, both Chinese and I have say I thoroughly enjoyed them.

Can you not order from regular restaurants?
We get everything from Five Guys to Gaucho which is a pretty good steak restaurant and family Italian restaurants and local stone oven places that do great pizzas.

That looks very good. Takeaway curry for the three of us will cost more than that more often than not. Going to give that a go.

Looks great... only restaurants we were allowed to go to growing up was the Indian because my mother couldn't cook it as well. I remember we got Chinese once 🤣

There were heaps of us though, so cooking was more fun and part of spending time together. Cooking for one is not so much fun, especially when you just instinctively cook for 8. I really need to get one of those spoons that measure spaghetti portions... it never seems like it will be enough 😳

I've been cooking for 4 for 16 years and I'm yet to master pasta quantity 😂. Just chuck the whole bag in now, the boy normally deals with any excess
