T20 World Cup thread 🇦🇪 World🏆

With the invention of franchise cricket there's no way that the standard of associate cricket won't continue to rise in the T20's (the likes of Nepal didn't even qualify for this pre-tournament despite having a top player in Lamichhane). They should absolutely expand the actual tournament and give these players a chance against the big boys. Look at Bangladesh battering the Aussies and Kiwi's recently.

I think so. Deserved from them been very good to watch improving a lot north of the border.
I imagine it'll only continue, with franchise cricket the best players can continue to play for Scotland, and earn a decent wedge (to afford to play full time cricket) - they don't have to switch to England in order to play tests etc. to earn money (Gavin Hamilton et al).
Not necessarily- if Bangladesh beat Oman and PNG and Oman beat Scotland they’re all on 6 points
Oman have the better run rate after battering PNG as well.
